Emerging Europe Chart Pack (Sep. 2024)

Our Emerging Europe Chart Pack has been updated with the latest data and our analysis of recent developments.

Economies across Emerging Europe have struggled recently, and we forecast below consensus GDP growth in most countries this year. The export-orientated economies of Central and Eastern Europe will be held back by stagnating demand from key euro-zone trading partners, while policy tightening will take its toll on growth in Turkey and Russia. In many parts of the region, though, above-target inflation will remain a concern, and we think that interest rates will be cut less than other analysts are forecasting over the next year.
