We still believe that tariffs are unlikely to reduce UK GDP by as much as some fear and that the UK is much less exposed than a lot of other economies. But the growing possibility of the UK facing higher tariffs than we have assumed adds to our concerns about the economic outlook, which this week led us to revise down our forecast for UK GDP growth this year from 1.3% to 0.7%.
