The SNB and the Riksbank will leave interest rates on hold throughout 2022 and 2023 and probably beyond, but the start of rate hikes by the Norges Bank is edging ever closer. (See here.) Once the tightening cycle in Norway begins, attention will naturally turn to how quickly policymakers will proceed. There are competing influences for them to weigh up.
