What to watch for in a momentous week

India's general election is coming to an end and from a macro perspective the key thing for investors to watch for is whether it delivers a government that has a working parliamentary majority that can push ahead with economic reforms. Otherwise, watch out for a change in policy stance at the RBI's policy meeting on Friday. This would pave the way for the easing cycle to begin in August.

Note: we are holding a special online briefing to discuss what India's election result means for the economy and markets on Tuesday 4th June (3pm BST). Register here.
