Our new bond yield forecasts show US and German bond yields diverging slightly over the coming year as monetary policy is loosened more aggressively in Europe. Meanwhile, we think a universal US tariff would have little impact on Switzerland because its exports to the US largely consist of price-insensitive pharmaceuticals. Next week we expect to learn that euro-zone inflation rose a bit in November but the core rate edged down.
