We expect relatively weak economic growth to keep interest rates in most emerging markets lower than the market currently anticipates next year. The key exceptions are India, where we suspect that inflation will be slow to fall back. Meanwhile, the central banks of both Turkey and Hungary may be forced to keep monetary policy relatively tight in order to defend their currencies.
