Slowdown bottoms out in Q1

A raft of Q1 GDP data due to be released over the coming weeks is likely to show that growth stabilised in most of Emerging Europe. Russia is the notable exception. Here, the slowdown seems to have deepened further. The good news is that regional growth will probably accelerate over the rest of the year, but the recovery is likely to be sluggish and uneven.
