India Weekly: Can policymakers bring back the good times?

We doubt that Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will deliver a big stimulus package to get the economy out of its recent soft patch in tomorrow's Union Budget announcement. That will leave the onus on monetary policy to do more of the heavy lifting to boost the economy - and we think the RBI will duly deliver the first interest rate cut of this cycle on Friday.
