While we suspect that interest rate differentials between the euro-zone and the US might start to put a degree of upward pressure on euro-zone government bond yields and the euro, we think that the broader macroeconomic environment will have a stronger bearing over the rest of the year, limiting the upside for euro-zone yields and even pushing the euro further down against the US dollar.
