RBA will wait until May before cutting rates

The RBA will leave interest rates unchanged at its upcoming meeting on 10th December. While the weakness in economic activity points to rate cuts before long, we think the Bank will need to see clearer evidence that the labour market is loosening and inflation is easing. Accordingly, we only expect the Bank to start easing policy in Q2 next year.
