Middle East & North Africa PMIs (Jan. 2025)

January’s batch of PMIs showed a mixed result as the region’s two largest economies, Saudi Arabia and Egypt, recorded their strongest outturns in several years, while surveys from Kuwait and Qatar softened. In Saudi at least, we doubt that the strength in its non-oil sector will last as fiscal policy is tightened.
