Global steel production will probably continue to edge lower in the next few months, following the latest month-on-month decline revealed by the WSA today. Crucially, we think that steel demand will soften as economic growth slows in developed economies and China’s property sector continues to struggle. India remains a bright spot, though, thanks to the government’s ongoing infrastructure spending drive.
