We think Spain’s economy will grow strongly over the next few years, substantially outperforming the euro-zone. This is partly due to strong domestic demand which has been supported by the rapid expansion of the labour force driven by high immigration. Looking ahead, the prospect of continued rapid immigration suggest that the risks to our GDP forecasts are now skewed to the upside.
