Federal Reserve officials will be heading to their annual policy get together at Jackson Hole later this week. We expect little in the way of direct insights into the monetary policy outlook. Nevertheless, the focus on labour market dynamics could throw up some indirect implications for monetary policy if it appears that the FOMC centrists are moving away from their view that there is still plenty of slack.
