Gulf equities lag behind

Most stock markets in the Gulf have edged up over the past month, but their performance looks poor compared with the rises seen elsewhere in the emerging world. Meanwhile, expectations of another devaluation of the Egyptian pound have continued to build. We think the currency could drop by another 5-10% against the US dollar this year.
