The deepening crisis in the euro-zone, coupled with fears of a slowdown in China, has meant that concerns about overheating in Latin America’s major economies have quickly given way to worries over the outlook for growth. The good news is that while Latin America is not immune to the various headwinds brewing elsewhere in the world economy, policymakers have plenty of ammunition at their disposal to counter the inevitable slowdown in regional growth.
