EM-wide exports fell in February and, while this may be due in part to distortions in the Chinese data, the bigger picture is that EM export growth has been sluggish for the past two years. There are a few bright spots. Exports from highly-open manufacturing economies in Asia and Central Europe have performed well in recent months. But commodity producers continue to struggle.
