EM financial markets are often hit hard during bouts of investor risk aversion, but most have come through the past few days in reasonable shape. Looking ahead, EMs are more likely to face acute sell-offs if market turbulence is triggered by concerns about the health of China’s economy or the pace of tightening by the US Fed, rather than by events in the UK.
