The raft of Q4 GDP data released today for Emerging Europe suggests that growth in the region sank to a post-2009 low of 0.8% y/y. An improvement in sentiment within the euro-zone should feed through to a pick-up in growth in Emerging Europe the first half of this year. But we suspect the pace of recovery will remain sluggish by historic standards.
