Egypt’s headline inflation slowed from 28.1% y/y in May to 27.5% y/y in June, the lowest outturn since the start of 2023. And this came in spite of the baladi bread price hike. Increases to electricity and fuel prices present upside risks in the coming months, but we continue to expect the disinflation process to continue in the coming months and into 2025.
