After the Fed recently delivered its first rate cut, we look at previous US loosening cycles to analyse how emerging markets assets have performed. This time around we expect the US to skirt a recession, and our view is that most of the easing cycle is broadly correctly priced in money markets. As such, we expect domestic factors to be the main driver of the outlook for EM bonds, FX and equities.
