There is no sign yet that the remarkable improvement in France’s labour market is going into reverse. But we suspect it will do later this year as monetary policy tightening takes effect. Meanwhile, we are braced for a horrendous industrial production number for March next week, but also expect to learn that employment rose at a decent pace in the euro-zone in Q1.
