Having picked up sharply in April, inflows into EM bond and equity markets have weakened in the past few weeks. Inflows into India and Turkey remained strong over the first half of the month, but in the latter this is likely to reverse after the surprisingly strong showing for President Erdogan in the general election. That’s particularly concerning in the context of Turkey’s large current account deficit.
