Activity growth slowed last month, falling short of expectations across the board. The service sector is still faring reasonably well and the fiscal support that’s already in the pipeline should help to stabilise wider growth over the coming months. But in the absence of a significant step up in stimulus efforts, a meaningful cyclical recovery seems increasingly unlikely.
