With the data continuing to surprise the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) on the upside and the Governor sounding encouraged by progress in Brexit negotiations and a bit more upbeat on the outlook, there is a chance that the Inflation Report on February 8th strikes a more hawkish tone than expected, suggesting that markets may not have gone far enough in revising up their interest rate expectations since November.
