Resignation of BCRA Governor opens door to more unorthodoxy

The resignation of the Governor of the Argentine central bank (BCRA) opens the door for even more unorthodox economic policy. With no end in sight to the government’s debt dispute, and policymaking heading in the wrong direction, the economy looks set to stay stuck in a rut. GDP may contract by 2% this year with little improvement in 2015 and the official peso exchange rate may be devalued to 10/$.
