In this Focus we consider the outlook for the world economy this year and next, in light of two of the biggest concerns which have preoccupied investors in recent months: US economic policy under President Trump and prospects for China. In both cases we continue to have a cautiously optimistic view and, as such, we think the outlook for the global economy is fairly bright.
