Emerging European property investment markets seem to have started 2013 brightly. Yet the sharp rise in region-wide investment volumes was in most part driven by a huge rise in activity in Russia. If economic growth expectations for Russia are revised lower in the near term, as they have been in other parts of the region, this support for region-wide investment may quickly fall away.
