Erdogan presidency means more of the same for Turkey’s economy

Recep Tayyip Erdogan declared that his victory in yesterday’s presidential election marked a ‘new era’ for Turkey. But for the economy it is likely to mean more of the same. The economic imbalances that were allowed to build during the latter years of Mr. Erdogan’s time as Prime Minister are likely to persist during his presidency.
