Despite the deal agreed by European leaders last week, we are far from sanguine about prospects for the euro-zone and expect further turmoil in global financial markets. In the event of another financial crisis, Asia’s currencies and equities would fall sharply. However, most banking sectors have little exposure to euro-zone sovereign debt and should remain resilient.
