The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) kept policy rates on hold at its meeting today. Given that the economic recovery is still very fragile, the central bank is likely to remain patient with inflation. Overall, we think the rate hiking cycle is probably over and that there will be scope for easing to start in late 2014.
