The continued strength of euro-zone services inflation in November reduces the chance that the ECB will cut interest rates by 50bp in December. But one-off base effects stopped services inflation from falling further – momentum in services inflation has softened in recent months. And we think the year-on-year rate will soon start to fall sustainably, prompting the Bank to cut interest rates by more than most expect.
