The 0.4% m/m increase in consumer prices was the biggest gain since February 2013 and reflects primarily a strong rebound in energy prices. More generally, the rebound in commodity prices we’ve seen in recent months suggests that the annual headline inflation rate, now at 1.1%, will snap back to 2% in the second half of the year.
