The fall in CPI inflation to a four year low in November confirms that the economy is enjoying a favourable mix of strong growth and low inflation. And with inflation on track to dip below 2% in 2014, it seems likely that the Monetary Policy Committee will be able to keep interest rates on hold even if unemployment falls quickly.
