First thoughts on the opening up of Saudi Arabia's stock market

The Saudi authorities’ plan to open up the stock market to foreign investors is clearly a step in the right direction. But with equity valuations already stretched, we doubt that it will be the trigger for a marked rally over the medium term. What’s more, it may not have much impact on the real economy.
