Mexican inflation fell to a three-and-a-half year low of 3.1% in January and looks set to remain close to the central bank’s 3% target throughout 2015-16. As a result, monetary policy is likely to remain loose for the foreseeable future. Indeed, we still would not rule out interest rate cuts over the coming months.
