ECB unlikely to rip up the lending rulebook

Thursday’s ECB press conference provides the Bank with a chance to provide greater details about any proposed changes to its collateral requirements for lending in its open market operations. While we expect any changes to be minor and have a fairly limited impact on the banking sector, it seems inevitable that lending growth to firms and households has further to slow.
