Polish National Bank governor, Adam Glapinski, used this afternoon’s post-meeting press conference to indicate that interest rates are most likely to remain unchanged over the course of next year. But his view seems to be based on somewhat optimistic growth forecasts. If we’re right in thinking that growth will undershoot expectations and the ECB will ease policy further, there may be scope for a small interest rate cut in Poland early next year.
