Even without the US, the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) could still provide a decent boost to the four countries from Emerging Asia included in the deal. The risk is that without the carrot of access to the large US market, countries will row back on commitments to open their domestic markets. The more this happens, the smaller the overall benefits will be.
