Rupiah rebound unlikely to prompt immediate rate cuts

The rebound in the Indonesian rupiah over the past week is unlikely to be enough to persuade Bank Indonesia to cut interest rates at its meeting on Thursday. But provided the recent rally does not go into reverse over the next couple of months, we see every chance of a rate cut before the end of the year.
