New Zealand's next rate hike looking more distant

The Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ) kept its policy rate at 3.5% today for the second meeting in a row. Subdued inflation, slowing growth and the strength of the New Zealand dollar all suggest that it will be a while before the central bank resumes its tightening cycle.
