Our baseline scenario is that an escalation of the crisis in the euro-zone will contribute to further large falls in almost all commodity prices over the next year or so, with gold and silver among the few exceptions. However, it is also worth acknowledging four ways in which the crisis might conceivably be positive for commodity prices, even for those of industrials such as oil and copper.
