Commodities benefit from greater risk appetite

The metals, both industrial and precious, have been the star performers this month as investor sentiment improved. Meanwhile, the return of supply that had been lost to unanticipated outages weighed on the oil price. And while gold initially benefitted from safe-haven demand in the wake of the UK vote to leave the EU, it has dipped since as investor risk appetite resurged.
