China & Euro-zone Flash PMIs (Mar.)

Today’s disappointing PMI readings from China could have a silver lining for commodities: the data are not bad enough to justify market fears of an imminent “hard landing”, but they may prompt additional policy easing just in case. Meanwhile, the improvements in the euro-zone PMIs suggest that demand from Europe should gradually recover, while also taking more steam out of the US dollar.
