Hopes and risks for 2017

The range of possible economic outcomes for next year are wider than usual and it is possible that 2017 proves to be a sweet spot for both Australia and New Zealand. But it seems more likely that a slowdown in economic growth in China and a corresponding drop back in commodity prices will contribute to Australia at least having another disappointing year.
