The government’s Budget update on Thursday is set to reveal a marked deterioration in the fiscal accounts, largely due to huge fiscal support measures. Most of that spending is set to expire in September which would result in household income declining again in Q4. But we expect the government to roll around 70% of that stimulus into the next financial year in order to avoid a fiscal cliff.
