Australia GDP (Q1)

Australia stands out as one of the few advanced economies that strengthened at the start of the year. But with households struggling even before the Royal Commission has prompted tighter credit conditions, the first quarter might be as good as it gets. So we doubt that the impressive 3.1% rise in GDP in the year to the first quarter will make the RBA raise interest rates before the back end of next year.
