Oil price recovery should limit further falls in crop prices

The recent weakness of oil prices has weighed on the prices of major agricultural commodities, since oil is an important component of crop production costs and oil prices affect demand for agriculture-based biofuels. Although we expect the prices of grains and oilseeds to fall next year due to a stronger dollar and ample supply, a gradual recovery in oil prices may limit the downside.
