Joe Biden’s faltering debate performance leaves Donald Trump as the narrow favourite to win this November’s presidential election. There isn’t an alternative Democratic candidate who would fare any better. Nevertheless, the race is still close and there’s a long way to go. Just as Trump’s felony convictions didn’t prove to be a fatal blow, Biden can recover from a lacklustre debate.
