Switzerland’s headline inflation rate was unchanged in August as a fall in core inflation was offset by the impact of rising fuel prices. This is the last inflation print before the SNB’s next meeting on 21st September, and is unlikely to change policymakers’ view that a further 25bp rate hike is needed, to bring the policy rate to 2.00%.
